As part of our Roof Asset Preservation (RAP) program, IKECO Roofing and Exteriors is serving all of western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina with energy-efficient and environmentally friendly commercial and industrial roofing options.

IKECO Roofing & Exteriors has utilized fluid-applied membranes on multiple schools, churches, and businesses.  The cost savings and tax benefits add to the numerous advantages of a fluid-applied membrane when compared to other flat roof repair/replacement options.  The RAP program at IKECO Roofing and Exteriors allows a building owner to break the cycle of replacing roof systems.  With the RAP program at IKECO Roofing & Exteriors, we can restore an existing roof system with a fluid-applied roof system and put the roof into a maintenance cycle that in all probability will eliminate the roof replacement cycle and prevent your current roofing system from being dumped in a landfill.

Utilizing a coating system with a high LRV (light reflectivity value) rating can greatly reduce the power consumption of any facility. The greatest gains in energy use reduction are achieved when converting existing dark-colored roofing membranes, such as EPDM to white, via a fluid-applied membrane.  This cost saving is a result of reducing the heat conduction into the facility due to the high temperature of the dark roofing membrane as a result of the sun’s energy.  Fluid-applied membranes a significantly more cost-effective when compared to other traditional roofing systems and the long-term maintenance cost savings are also significant.
